Before you start:
1. Read the Pre-Repair Checklist
2. Remove the Bottom Cover
3. Buy a new battery to change the old one (if needed)
What screws do you need?
O + M 1.6 X 3.0L (2pcs)
O + M 1.6 X 9.0L (2pcs)
Let's start with the removal
1. Disconnect the battery power cable by lifting the side with the red wires first. (This is important, if you are unsure about this stop and contact our team of experts for guidelines)
2. Disconnect the FFC cable from the motherboard, and then remove the rubber pieces
3. Remove the screws, then remove the battery (Store the screws to avoid losing them, if you are missing some screws, you can buy them here)
4. Remove the battery power cable and the FFC cable
Installation
1. Remove the release liners from the tape on the battery bracket (only if you are replacing the existing component)
2. Install the battery into the battery bracket in the orientation shown below. The battery connector has to be facing upwards (only if you are replacing the existing component)
3. Ensure that you place the battery and hold the battery aluminum foil in the orientation shown below. (only if you are replacing the existing component)
4. Align the cutout of the battery aluminum foil with the label on the battery (only if you are replacing the existing component)
5. Remove part of the release liner from the right end of the aluminum foil, then carefully align and attach the aluminum foil to the battery from the right end. (only if you are replacing the existing component)
6. Continue to remove the middle part of the release liner, then attach the aluminum foil to the middle part of the battery and ensure it is not blocked by the foil (only if you are replacing the existing component)
7. Remove the last part of the release liner from the aluminum foil the align and attach the aluminum foil to the battery until the liner us removed (only if you are replacing the existing component)
8. Fold the edges of the battery aluminum foil to ensure the battery is correctly covered by the aluminum foil (only if you are replacing the existing component).
9. Locate the indicated spots, align and attach the tape to the battery bracket. (only if you are replacing the existing component).
10. locate the spot shown on the illustration, align and attach the "DO NOT DISASSEMBLE" sticker on the top of the battery. (only if you are replacing the existing component).
11. Reconnect the battery power cable to the battery
12. Reattach the FFC cable on the battery
13. Secure the battery using the screws your removed earlier.
14. Reconnect the FFC cable to the motherboard, then place the rubber pieces back.
15. Reconnect the battery power cable to the motherboard
16. Install the components you removed in the pre-repair checklist
