The touchpad surface is pressure-sensitive. If not properly cared for, it can easily be damaged. Here are a few precautions to take to properly clean the touchpad on your Asus laptop:
- Avoid contact between the touchpad and dust, liquids or grease.
- Do not touch the touchpad if your fingers are dirty or wet.
- Do not place heavy objects on the touchpad or its buttons.
- Do not use your fingernails or any other object to scratch the touchpad.
Please note: The touchpad reacts to movement, not force. Pressing harder on the surface will not make the touchpad more responsive. It responds better to light pressure.
