To split the screen on your ASUS laptop, you can use the built-in window management features provided by the operating system, typically Windows. Here's how to do it in Windows 10:
Open Applications: Open the applications or windows that you want to have on the split screen. For example, if you want to split your screen between a web browser and a word processor, open both of these applications.
Arrange Windows Side by Side:
- Click and hold the title bar of the first window you want to snap.
- Drag the window to the left or right edge of the screen until the cursor reaches the edge. You'll see a transparent outline of the window appear.
- Release the mouse button to snap the window to that side of the screen.
- Repeat the same process with the second window, but snap it to the opposite side of the screen.
Snap Assist (Optional): If you have more than two windows open and you want to snap them all into place simultaneously, Windows 10 provides a feature called Snap Assist:
- With one window already snapped to the side, you'll see a thumbnail view of your other open windows in the empty space.
- Click on the thumbnail of the window you want to snap, and it will fill the remaining space on the screen.
Adjust Window Size (Optional): Once the windows are snapped, you can adjust their sizes by clicking and dragging the divider between them to resize each window as needed.
Exit Split Screen: To exit split screen mode, simply click and drag the windows away from the edges of the screen, or maximize one of the windows by clicking the maximize button in the title bar.
